Royal LePage Foothills Shelter Foundation

Shelter comes in many forms. Recognizing that not everyone in our community has access to the home of their dreams, Royal LePage created the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation – a charitable organization dedicated to making a difference to the issue of shelters and for shelter organizations across Canada. By raising funds at the national and local levels, the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation ensures a helping hand is extended to those in need, both near and far.

National Program

The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation has forged an alliance with The Canadian Women’s Foundation, Canada’s only national public foundation dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls through economic and social change. We have chosen to focus on this alliance for the next few years, as it will enable us to make a meaningful contribution towards providing for the needs of women and children fleeing abuse.

Local Program

Unique to Canada, Royal LePage Foothills has been granted the right to operate a local Foundation here in Calgary – the Royal LePage Foothills Shelter Foundation. This Foundation operates with Real Estate Associates and public members on the Advisory Board, and with an Operating Committee which has one goal – to raise money for the development and protection of women and children living under abusive and stressful conditions. Foothills Associates have actively participated in a program that raised $1 million to move Discovery House into a new facility and they will continue to support Discovery House in future projects. More recently, they have purchased a new van for Hull Child and Family Services. Raising funds through Associate donations and special projects is their way of giving back to the community in which they live and work.
