Originally constructed in 1911 for the Pryce-Jones department store, a Canadian branch of the renowned Welsh mail-order company, the building has undergone several transformations over the decades.
Once serving as a military headquarters during World War II and later as The Refinery Nightclub in the 1970's, it was converted into residential lofts in the 1990's, preserving much of its historic charm.
After the department store’s closure post-World War I, it served as the headquarters for Military District 13 during World War II. In 1974, the building was repurposed as The Refinery Nightclub, a popular entertainment venue. The early 1990s marked its conversion into residential lofts, preserving much of its historic charm and architectural features.
