Erlton is between two of Calgary’s largest and most popular festival and event scenes. 17th Ave is located in the northwestern area – it’s the shopping and entertainment district famous for the Red Mile during playoff games. The Stampede Grounds is to the northeast, where Calgary Flames fans can cheer their team at the Saddledome, which also hosts many major concerts. The Calgary Stampede takes over the city every July.
